Circle B Diecast Delivers Real Value to NASCAR Fans with Power Hour

Circle B Diecast Delivers Real Value to NASCAR Fans with Power Hour

A key challenge for brands today is the constant balance between new marketing needs (like social media and content creation) and meeting the existing needs of your customer base (service, inventory, etc.). You know you need to be creating content to get in front of new customers, but you also need to focus on the everyday challenges of customer service.

To solve this balance, A.E. Engine worked with Circle B Diecast to create their own show to not only reward their loyal base of NASCAR diecasts but also to reach new customers by appealing to the entire NASCAR fanbase. This is the origin of Power Hour Presented by Circle B Diecast.

What is Power Hour?

Power Hour brings together Eric Estepp (Out of the Groove) and Brennan Poole (NASCAR driver) to create one of the most authentic and unique shows in the NASCAR media space. Eric is the most popular NASCAR content creator on YouTube, with his channel receiving millions of views every month. Brennan is a veteran driver of all three top NASCAR series and in 2023 raced full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Eric’s YouTube channel began with diecast-focused videos, and both he and Brennan are avid diecast collectors and have even produced their own authentic NASCAR diecasts. These were the perfect hosts to co-create a show with Circle B Diecast.

Each episode of Circle B Diecast featured an interview with another NASCAR driver, from legends of the sport like Mark Martin to Cup Series stars like Daniel Suarez and Chase Briscoe, and of course, the drivers who stole the headlines in 2023 like Carson Hocevar and Corey LaJoie. Eric, as one of the most popular influencers in NASCAR, knows how to approach each episode with an eye on what the fans want to know most. Brennan, personally knowing many of these drivers from racing alongside them during the week, was able to speak to the technical and candid sides of being a driver that fans will often never see.

Most importantly, every episode featured a segment where fans were able to connect directly with the creators, getting an opportunity for their voices to be heard and their questions to be answered by Eric, Brennan, and their NASCAR driver guest.

Keys to Success

  • Authenticity – The duo of Eric Estepp and Brennan could not be matched in either their love of diecast collecting (Circle B’s core customers) or their ability to create engaging NASCAR content (reaching the broader NASCAR fanbase).
  • Uniqueness – There are podcasts with influencers and podcasts with drivers, but Power Hour combined them into an unbeatable combination allowing uniquely interesting driver interviews and a focus on what NASCAR fans care about most.
  • Customer Value – Every episode of Power Hour offers fans a discount code for Circle B Diecast that deeply discounts their shipping on orders. Diecasts are metal, and your average fan collects multiples throughout the season, so this discount provided generous value to every existing and potential customer watching.

Distribution

Every episode of Circle B Diecast’s Power Hour was distributed across several different channels and platforms. On YouTube, Eric’s Out of the Groove channel (with over 200k subscribers) offered both full video episodes and short, shareable clips. The audio version was made available to subscribers on all podcast apps, including Apple, Google, and Spotify. On top of that, every episode was hosted and promoted by the Daily Downforce, to not only help reach their hundreds of thousands of readers but to also provide a discoverable web presence for the show (You can view the Show’s page HERE).
