True story from this week. We were sitting in the hospital room on Monday, and Jerry was telling the nurse he didn’t want to eat. She was persistent and finally got him to eat something. After she left the room and my Dad fell asleep, I turned to my Mom and said, “You know, it is probably a good thing Dad says ‘no’ so much when it comes to eating food.” Toni said, “Why’s that?”. I said, “Because if he said ‘yes” each time she asked him to eat he would be very fat by now.” My dad then turned his head … snickered and lovingly (I think???) said … “You jerk!”. Ha. Love you Dad! Keep fighting!
