The mission of FUEL Sports is to provide student-athletes, specifically teen boys, with sports-themed content, advice and inspirations that will assist them in their athletic, educational and personal development and  connect companies with this elusive, hard-to-reach demographic.


A.E. Engine launched FUEL sports titles in 2009 with the release of FUEL Football, which was distributed to 100,000 high school football players in 12 states. Since then the magazine has grown to more than 7,500 high schools in more than 300 states and is published four times per year.


FUEL magazine is mailed direct to more than 7,500 high school athletic programs at no-cost to the schools or the reader. Because the magazine is distributed in school, the magazine has been included in some coaches’ training and education curriculum. FUEL is embraced by the student-athletes and endorsed by the coaches and parents.


Since 2009, more than four million copies of FUEL magazine have been distributed at more than 7,500 high schools in 33 states.


FUEL magazine is supported by an app and website that provides a digital version of the magazine along with partner-driven contests which increase reader involvement. Additionally, FUEL executes a high school campus tour program that connect advertisers directly with the school.

In 2014, A.E. Engine will publish three types of FUEL publications

    • FUEL Sports | a player’s magazine printed quarterly and distributed to 7,500 high schools across the country
    • FUEL Coaches | printed three times per year and distributed to 7,500 high school football, basketball and baseball coaches across the country
    • 6:AM | new for 2014, 6:AM is a digitally-delivered magazine that is published 10 times per year. The magazine is available for free to all readers, which include student-athletes, parents and coaches.
