FNF will partner in 2016 – for the second year in a row – with Samsung, one of the nation’s leading distributors of washers and dryers, for the Football Teams Moms of the Year Contest. The contest recognizes one of the most important but underappreciated contributors to a football team – the Team Moms.
Team Moms from schools in each of the five FNF Magazine publication regions – Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Texas and the Carolinas – have been invited to nominate their respective schools prior to Aug. 31, 2016. At that time, FNF will designate finalists to be selected through an online vote, and the winning school from each region will earn a $1,000 donation to the booster club on behalf of FNF and Samsung. A photo of the winning Team Moms will appear in the respective edition of the 2017 edition of FNF Magazine along with a feature story.
The 2015 contest proved to be a huge success with fans that casted more than 100,000 votes throughout the six-week contest. The winners by state were as follows:
- Texas: Ronald Reagan High (San Antonio)
- Florida: Wakulla High
- Georgia: Irwin County High
- Alabama: Vinemont High
- North Carolina: Ravenscroft School
- South Carolina: C.E. Murray High
