July 28, 2020 | A.E. Engine announced today it has entered into a strategic partnership with Georgia-based Semiotic Marketing International (SMI) to provide large format printing services.
SMI was founded by print and retail industry veterans and is anchored by a million dollar investment in cutting-edge technology, including an EFI Vutek h5 Series printer and a ZUND G3 digital cutting machine.
EFI Vutek h5 Series is a superwide-format hybrid inkjet printer that can provide best-of-class signage, wall murals, banners, backlits, vehicle graphics and floor graphics. The ZUND G3 is the most innovative cutter on the market.
A.E. Engine will focus on the sports and entertainment industry where it has extensive relationships across the country.
“This partnership displays the evolution of our company as a solution provider,” said A.E. Engine’s Craig Baroncelli. “Paul Hynson, Kevin Griffin (SMI Partners and co-CEOs) and their team have uniquely aligned themselves to disrupt the marketplace with an innovative new approach to print production and retail display fulfillment. We immediately saw an opportunity to offer this expertise within the sports and event space.”
In addition to the strategic sales relationship, A.E. Engine’s design team created the SMI branding and also its website, smidifference.com, as part of its alliance.
